Our heartfelt thanks go out to the International Paper Foundation, who awarded FOOD For Lane County a grant to install a second CoolBot on the Youth Farm property (the CoolBot on the left in the picture below). International Paper Foundation also allowed us to install the CoolBot on the right in 2021. Thank you International Paper!
The new CoolBot Walk in Cooler was installed and put to use immediately. The Youth Farm will use it to store harvested crops for distribution through FOOD For Lane County (via Emergency Food Boxes), our CSA program, and farm stand. The CoolBot will double our capacity to refrigerate crops and allow the farm to manage harvests in a much more effective and efficient manner. Thank you!
