Halloweek at 5th Street Market

Including a food drive for FFLC!

5th Street Public Market has partnered with Food For Lane County to host a week long canned food drive in support of their mission to reduce hunger by engaging the community and creating access to food. Visit The Market during HalloWEEK, Oct. 24th-31st for seven days full of socially-distanced activities and give back with non-perishable food donation items. Food For Lane County donation sites will be located on the first floor of The Market in the fountain courtyard entrance, and also inside The Eateries, located on the second floor.

Most needed foods include canned meats, low-sugar fruit, dried fruit, jams and jellies, canned stews, chilis and hearty soups, boxed macaroni and cheese, pasta, rice, cereal and corn meal, cooking and olive oil, canned tomato products, peanut butter and ethnic foods such as mole, chilis or enchilada sauce.

Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt Oct. 24-31

Take a stroll through 5th Street Public Market and spot the spooky and spectacular sights of The Market’s scarecrows, spread throughout our collection of unique boutiques and eateries including Swahili Modern Imports, Velvet Edge Boutique, J. Scott Cellars and gilt + gossamer, plus an additional secret location.

Pick up a scavenger hunt passport at participating stores and return the completed passport for your chance to win a pumpkin full of sweet treats! Share your Scarecrow Scavenger hunt fun and findings with us by using the hashtag #5thstreetpublicmarket on Instagram and stories.

Sunday, October 25th Giant Pumpkin Carving

11 am-5 pm 2nd Floor Courtyard

A second chance to catch the live carving of giant, locally-grown pumpkins will take place Sunday, Oct. 25th from 11 am-5 pm featuring the talents of local pumpkin carver and creator, Tom Lindskog, as he shapes and shifts this harvest favorite into a spooky sight to see.

Monday, Oct. 26th Creepy Craft Kits by MECCA

11 am-5 pm Located Inside The Eateries

5th Street Public Market and Materials Exchange Center for the Community Arts (MECCA) present Creepy Craft Kits, free, grab-and-go art kits for families to take and enjoy. Bring the family down and sit together for some quality spooky craft-building time or grab-and-go to enjoy in the comfort of home. These free, creepy craft kits will be located on the second floor, inside The Eateries and will be available while supplies last.

Tuesday, Oct. 27th Tuesday Treats

General Market Hours – Multiple Locations

Treat yourself this HalloWEEK at 5th Street Public Market with exclusive food and drink specials during Tuesday Treats. NorthWest Burgers will be serving up a signature Spicy Spooky Burger made with ghost pepper mayonnaise, caramelized habaneros and pepper jack cheese and kids will receive sweet treat with every mini burger ordered. Tap & Growler will be hosting a special spooky edition of their Taco Tuesday deal offering $5 tacos and $5 margaritas.

Wednesday, Oct. 28th HOWLoween Yappy Hour at Sweet Cheeks Winery with Central Bark benefiting Greenhill Humane Society 

5-7 pm Sweet Cheeks Winery Patio

Visit The Market for a socially-distanced HOWLoween special edition Yappy Hour on the patio of Sweet Cheeks Winery from 5-7 pm benefiting Greenhill Humane Society. Central Bark will be hosting a pet costume contest with raffle prizes, giveaways and pet-friendly photo opportunities. Masks are required when social distancing cannot be maintained and space is limited, so arrive early to grab your table!

Thursday, Oct. 29th Boo-tiful Bouquet Building With Rhythm & Blooms

5-7 pm Inside The Eateries 

Create your very own succulent pumpkin decor during this Boo-tiful Bouquet Building Workshop hosted by Rhythm & Blooms on Thursday, Oct. 29th from 5-7 pm located inside The Eateries. More creative than creepy, this two-hour event will teach guests how to craft their own pumpkin succulent display, a perfect table-topper or gift for a friend. Space is limited and tickets are required to ensure social distancing*. Masks are required where social distancing cannot be maintained. Tickets include all supplies to take home your own pumpkin.

Friday, Oct. 30th Parade Of Mischief with All That Dance Co.

4-6 pm on the strEATery, Multiple Locations

Twirl, tap or swing on down to 5th Street Public Market for a live Parade Of Mischief dance performance by a cast of creepy characters from All That Dance Co. Follow the troupe from the strEATery (5th Ave between Pearl & High Street) as they make their way through The Market with a costumed Parade Of Mischief for a safe, family-fun activity everyone will enjoy.

Saturday, Oct. 31st Live Music Dia De Los Muertos Performance by Ritmo Y Romance

5-7 pm 2nd floor courtyard

Enjoy this free, socially-distanced concert and dress up and dance for a Dia De Los Muertos inspired performance by Latin fusion band, Ritmo Y Romance.
