A native of the Pacific Northwest, Paul Richard Olson began playing for church services at 10 years of age. Olson has served as Organist and Choirmaster since 1992 at the historic Grace Church (Episcopal) in Brooklyn Heights, New York, where he heads the choral program and concert series as well as serving as a staff accompanist for the internationally acclaimed Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy. As a recitalist, he has performed at national and regional conventions of the American Guild of Organists. He has been presented in concert on university and college campuses and at churches around the country. He has conducted workshops for the American Guild of Organists, The Hymn Society of America, and numerous other church music workshops and conferences. He has performed at numerous music festivals including the Peter Britt, Oregon Bach, and Aspen Festivals. In addition to his busy church duties, Paul is active as an accompanist for singers and choral groups in New York City and around the country.
