EUGENE, Ore. — FOOD For Lane County is looking for volunteers to fill all positions this summer, which includes positions helping in the gardens, prepping food, helping with meals on wheels, or sorting food at the warehouse.
The opportunity could serve as an ideal chance for students who are in need of volunteer hours in order graduate and volunteer programs are available for people 14 years of age and older. Volunteer shifts are typically two to four hours long, Monday through Friday. Once someone’s volunteered for the first time, hours become more flexible.
