Volunteers in Medicine provides fresh fruits and vegetables to its clients through FOOD for Lane County’s Produce Plus program. For Volunteers in Medicine Executive Director DeLeesa Meashintubby, the program is invaluable to her clients.
FOOD for Lane County is committed to getting fruits and vegetables to community members who cannot typically afford such nutritious food. Produce Plus is part of the solution to fighting hunger and establishing positive lifelong eating habits.
