Nick Keough is a freshman at Lane Community College. The Texas native is raising money for FOOD for Lane County. His goal is to raise $10,000. He admits that it’s an ambitious goal, but he’s optimistic. After his cousin was in a skateboarding accident, a crowdfunding campaign raised $30,000 in two weeks. The success of that campaign inspired Nick to launch his own campaign.
“We don’t really live in a perfect world, and there’s never a perfect time to give,” says Nick, “but there are always people in need of our help. Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.”
