Summer Food Program volunteers needed

If you’re looking for a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity this summer, give us a call. FFLC’s Summer Food Program needs volunteer site supervisors.

FOOD for Lane County’s Summer Food Program has more than 40 sites in Lane County that provide a free lunch to children aged 2 to 18. It only takes two hours a day, Monday through Friday. We ask for a commitment of two weeks. The program requires use of your own vehicle, the ability to lift 40 pounds and a food handler’s card. FFLC will conduct a background check, and there will be mandatory training.

For more information or to volunteer contact Lisa Quaid here or at (541) 343-2822 x154

This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity. Because hunger doesn’t take a vacation.

The program will run M-F beginning June 24th through August 16th for Eugene and Springfield.
The sites in South Lane County will run M-F June 25th-Aug 23rd. The sites in Oakridge will run M-F June 24th-Aug 15th.
All sites closed on July 4. Please use the map below to see 2019 sites. Thank you!
