Summer Plant Sale on Saturday!

Saturday May 14, 10am-5pm at the FFLC Youth Farm, 705 Flamingo Ave., Springfield

Staff and volunteers will be selling veggie, flower and herb starts appropriate for spring/summer gardens.

All available plants for sale are grown organically at the Food For Lane County Youth Farm. A majority of our seed is generously donated by Territorial Seed Company and our potting soil by Aurora Innovations and Down To Earth Home, Garden & Gift.

Plants for sale: Tomatoes (67 varieties), Sweet Peppers (21 varieties), Hot Peppers (22 varieties), Onions, Leeks, Shallots, Rhubarb, Parsley, Celery, Tomatillos, Ground Cherries, Swiss Chard, Lettuce (10 varieties), Eggplant (11 varieties), Basil (10 varieties), Watermelons, Melons, Cucumbers (12 varieties), Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Brussels Sprouts, Beets, Quinoa, Pumpkins, Winter Squash, Spinach, Zucchini/Summer Squash (9 varieties), Snap and Snow Peas, Sweet Corn (9 varieties), Beans (7 varieties), and lots of flowers including Sunflowers (15 varieties), Zinnias, Cosmos, Marigolds, Scabiosa, Tithonia (Mexican Sunflower), Cape Marigold, Portulaca, Larkspur, Rudbeckia, Strawflower, Viola, Asters, Cosmidium, German Chamomile, Snap Dragons, Statice, Nigella, Calendula, and Nasturtiums.

Great prices: $2 for 3″ pots and $2.50 for 6 packs.
We will also be selling Roots Organics potting soil ($10/bag!) and liquid fertilizers donated from Aurora Innovations and Aqua Serene.

This festive family event will include great live music all day (5 bands!), self guided tours of our beautiful 5 acre farm and new this year- a food cart. If you cannot attend on Saturday, we’ll also have some select plants for sale on Sunday 5/15 at the Mount Pisgah Arboretum Wildflower and Music Festival from 10-5.
