Farm Stand

We sell 40+ varieties of organically grown (though not certified) fruits and vegetables. All of the proceeds from our Youth Farm Farm Stand directly support our work to reduce hunger by growing and distributing food, building skills and nourishing our neighbors. We accept SNAP/EBT for produce and match up to half the cost. We also accept Farm Direct Nutrition Vouchers and match up to three times the value of the vouchers. Volunteer: We welcome families, groups and individuals ages 14+ during scheduled drop-in hours at our new farm at 34596 Seavey Loop Road, Eugene. Learn more and sign up to volunteer.

In addition to growing, selling and distributing produce, we also host plant sales for those who want vibrant starts to grow their own fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. While the Youth Farm is not certified organic, we grow our plant starts using donated non-GMO seeds and organically certified amendments and potting soils. We accept SNAP/EBT for all edible plant starts and match up to half the cost! Learn more about our plant sales.

Through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, you can purchase and receive a weekly box of fresh, nutritious produce June-October and enjoy a direct connection to the land and the people who grow your food. Learn more about our CSA program.

At the gardens, staff and skilled community members offer tours and workshops on gardening, cooking and produce preservation. All workshops are free to the public, and we ask the participants register ahead of time. When these programs are offered, information can be found in our news and events.

The success of the Youth Farm relies on volunteers. Whether you have a couple of hours or all day, any amount of time is appreciated. We welcome volunteers ages 14+. Learn more and sign up to volunteer. There are also many employment and educational opportunities at the Youth Farm, including seasonal work experience for teens and adults. When these opportunities are made available, we will post information in our employment section.

After nearly 30 years of operating our Youth Farm on land owned by the Springfield School District, we’ve moved to our forever home: 25 acres of prime agricultural land near the base of Mount Pisgah!

In 2023, the Oregon Legislature awarded $1.15 million to Food for Lane County specifically for farmland purchase. With those funds and with the generous support of the Evergreen Hill Fund of Oregon Community Foundation and a second anonymous donor, we successfully purchased the property at 34596 Seavey Loop in June 2024.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to settle into a forever home for the Youth Farm, expand our growing operations and safeguard important agricultural land.

The new Youth Farm on Seavey Loop offers rich riverbed soil, pre-existing structures, and a neighborhood filled with small family farms and other organizations we admire, including McKenzie River Trust, Mount Pisgah Arboretum, and Friends of Buford Park. The property’s location also makes it an easy stop for fruits and veggies for the hundreds of thousands of recreationists who visit Mount Pisgah each year.

Work is well underway rehabilitating the property and returning it to prime farmland. Restoring the property involves a significant improvement of the soil and irrigation systems, developing the farm stand and other capital improvements. We’re humbled by the initial leadership support of The Evergreen Hill Fund of Oregon Community Foundation and a second anonymous donor who have shared our excitement about this project from the beginning.

The former Youth Farm was operated on land owned by the Springfield School District since its beginning in 1995, and we’re forever grateful for a wonderful and lengthy relationship with the district. However, the property is zoned for high-density residential use and was not available to purchase.
