As Lane County’s food bank, we welcome donations of safe, nutritious food from businesses and partners across the food system. Businesses can also make an impact through monetary donations, volunteerism and sponsorship.

Food producers, farms, retail stores and other organizations can make a significant difference in the fight against hunger by donating produce, meats, dairy or packaged goods, as well as unsold or excess prepared foods that are still safe to consume.

Our Food Rescue Express (FREX) program recovers prepared but unserved foods from grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals, schools and more, then repackages it into smaller portions and distributes it to food pantries, shelters and meal sites, preventing food waste and providing nutritious meals. The “Scan-a-Coupon” program, in which many local grocers participate, allows customers to donate money to Food for Lane County by scanning a coupon at the point of sale. Donors can use their receipts to claim tax deductions for their donations. To learn more, contact us.
