Located in downtown Eugene on W. 8th Avenue between Lincoln and Charnelton streets, our Dining Room welcomes ages 18+ and children accompanied by a guardian. Those who visit can enjoy a nutritious, hot meal at no cost.

What to Expect

  • Everyone over the age of 18 and children accompanied by a parent or guardian are welcome, no identification required.
  • Meals are served at no cost to guests.
  • Similar to a restaurant, guests are greeted and shown to a table.
  • A server will bring food to your table, restaurant style.
  • Parents with children are served quickly, upon arrival.
  • Some guests prefer to dine alone; others prefer to eat together and socialize.
  • Guests typically depart soon after dining to allow other guests to sit and eat.

Operated by Food for Lane County with the help of community volunteers, the Dining Room is supported by donors and sponsored by the Human Services Commission, City of Eugene, City of Springfield and Lane County.
